In the past Jay has been an musician, producer and manager and is now at Yahoo Music as head of artist and label relations. In that role he oversees a wide range of programs.

LAUNCH is the music destination on Yahoo! Each month LAUNCH features four emerging artists or bands. At the end of each month the artist/band with the highest number of votes from consumers is invited to film an exclusive LIVE performance at the LAUNCH studios in Santa Monica and streaming video of that performance will be featured in the 'Who's Next' page on LAUNCH.

Jay Frank says that Yahoo is committed to support up-and-coming artists. They have also joined with USA Network to produce "Nashville Star", a nationwide talent search looking for the next big country star. Yahoo Music will host the exclusive "Nashville Star" site (http://nashvillestar.yahoo.com) where the viewing audience can cast their votes for their favourite contestant immediately after each episode.
